Celebrities change up their hairstyles all the time, whether it’s an emotional decision or a new look for a new role, but last year Jennifer Aniston chopped her locks for a very practical purpose.
The “Rumor Has It” actress went for a cute shoulder-length bob rather than her usual full and fabulous coif in an effort to get her hair healthy again.
In a new interview, Aniston confessed, “The real reason I cut my hair? My real hair was getting thinned out again from all the extensions. It was starting to look fake.”
And it looks like it worked, as Jen has been sporting a fuller, longer hairdo in the subsequent months.

The red Christmas greeting, which was obtained by Lainey Gossip, reads: “We wish you and your family a holiday season full of happiness and joy. A donation has been made in your name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and Best Friends Animal Society.”
Aniston — who has been a longtime supporter of both non-profit organizations — signed the card, “With warmth and love, Jen and Justin.”
Though they’ve been joined at the hip since taking their relationship public in June, Aniston, 42, has no immediate plans to marry her Wanderlust costar Theroux, 40.
“I’ve been married once, and I don’t know if I’ll get married again,” she said in October. “But I can tell you that as of this moment, I have no plan to get married. Got that?”

Brad Pitt should consider himself a lucky man given that he almost ran into ex-wife Jennifer Aniston last night. The unfriendly exes both decided to take in a movie last night at the ArcLight Cinemas in Hollywood. The 47-year-old Moneyball star had taken four of his children with partner Angelina Jolie – Maddox, 10, Pax, 8, Zahara, 6 and Shiloh, 5 – to see the 2 p.m. showing of Martin Scorsese’s fantasy film, Hugo.
After the film, he and his children entered the parking garage just as Aniston and new boyfriend Justin Theroux arrived for a later showing. They missed one another by the narrow margin of five minutes.
‘Justin and Jennifer skipped the popcorn and went straight in. Like five minutes later, Brad and the kids came out of the theatre, They just missed each other!’ a source tells X17online. It may have also been the first time that Brad and Jen came face-to-face since their 2005 divorce. In lieu of recent comments Pitt made about his former wife, it’s a good thing that he had a near miss.
The Academy Award nominated actor called his marriage to the Horrible Bosses star ‘boring’ earlier this year. He told Parade magazine that he ‘wasn’t living an interesting life’ and that he ‘tried to make the marriage something it wasn’t.’ Although he has since sworn that his comments were taken out of context, the 42-year-old actress is reportedly furious with him and disgusted by his ‘rudeness.’
‘They don’t talk,’ a source told Us Weekly of the former golden couple back in September. ‘She will always think of him as a jerk.’ She has reason, given that he took up with partner Angelina Jolie almost immediately after he and Jen announced their divorce.
However, given that she’s happily ensconced with boyfriend and Wanderlust co-star Justin Theroux, 40, perhaps she would have enjoyed seeing Brad and giving him more than a piece of her mind. And being with her hunky new man would have been the perfect time to do it.

Is Jennifer Aniston packing on the pounds? Hardly. But the 42-year-old Horrible Bosses actress with the world-famous bikini bod claims she’s gained some weight — thanks to cigarettes, not a baby-to-be.
“No, we’re not pregnant,” Aniston (who’s been dating Justin Theroux since the spring) told Britain’s Hello! magazine. “It’s just I quit smoking, so I’ve gained a couple of pounds.”
Indeed, back in 2002, Aniston vowed to “eventually quit smoking.” As recently as summer 2010, the yoga enthusiast was smoking a pack a day.
And though she and Wanderlust costar Theroux, 40, appear more in love than ever, there are no imminent wedding plans, she insists.
“I am not planning to get married any time soon. This ring that I’m wearing is not an engagement ring,” she told Hello! “I’ve been married once [to Brad Pitt] and I don’t know if I’ll get married again, but I can tell you that as of this very moment, as of today, I have no plan to get married.”

During the event, Jen’s close friend Reese Witherspoon – who presented Jen with her award – joked about the actress, saying, “[She has] sex appeal and complete lovability. You just want to get your nails done with her and make out with her at the same time, at least I do, and that’s what we do sometimes on Saturday.” Boyfriend Justin Theroux was also on hand for Jen’s honor.

Jennifer Aniston (42) heeft absoluut geen haast om een gezin te stichten met haar vriend Justin Theroux.
Ondanks dat er regelmatig hardnekkige geruchten de kop op steken dat de actrice zwanger wil worden, drukt Jennifer de lezers van ELLE op het hart dat ze tevreden is met haar leven zoals het nu is.
“Er is geen sprake van wanhoop. Als het zo mag zijn, dan is dat zo. Maar ik heb vrede er sowieso vrede mee”, vertelt ze.
Jennifer is inmiddels alweer een aantal maanden gelukkig met acteur Justin Theroux en het tweetal lijkt meer dan gelukkig. “Ze zijn ontzettend lief samen”, laat een ooggetuige die het tweetal spotte in een New Yorks restaurant, eerder weten.
